I have to agree with a nunber of small points you raise.

The strap: Absolutely crass! So I must agree with you on that point.  I&#039;m yet to find something I&#039;m comfy with.

Lens Hoods: I never use them.  The ones that come with the Canon lens are just no use in my book, the design is poor. I manage well with my 100mm USM macro lens and rarely get lens flare.  All I use is a UV filter and CP filter when I feel the urge.

It alarms me to find out that the 5D will need large hands to operate it.  My hands are small.  Sometimes I find that it&#039;s difficult even with my 300D.

Black Body: Couldn&#039;t agree more.  Too many people are hung up on having a black camera.  &quot;It&#039;s more pleasing to the eye.&quot; &quot;It makes one look professional.&quot;  Give me chrome above black! It&#039;s another reason why I love my 300D.
