And you thought the US military was a spendthrift?<\/p>\n<p>New CEO Satya Nadella has a dream job.  After all, how could <i>anyone<\/i> be worse than Ballmer?<\/p>\n<p>Wall Street loved the move, naturally:<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/MSFT_Nokia_layoffs.jpg\" width=\"804\" height=\"300\" alt=\"\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>No need to get excited about anything MSFT makes.  Yet.  Excel is fine.  Otherwise, fughedaboutit.<\/p>\n<p>As for Ballmer, with a net worth of $18bn, he&#8217;s living proof of the dictum that has it &#8220;It&#8217;s who you know, not what you know&#8221;.
