With an unlimited budget nothing about it is less than perfect from the stunning location to the exquisite architecture and over 40,000 pieces from early Greek and Roman times.<\/p>\n<p>My son and I were lucky to visit it recently on a picture perfect day (there are only some 350 of those annually in Los Angeles, so one has to carefully time his visit) and it really has to be seen to be believed.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/GettyVilla1.jpg\" width=\"681\" height=\"1014\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>The entrance.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/GettyVilla2.jpg\" width=\"681\" height=\"1014\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>Idiotic political correctness dictates that all pools and fountains are drained.<br \/>\nClearly this will solve California&#8217;s drought problem.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/GettyVilla3.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>Trompe l&#8217;oeil abounds.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/GettyVilla4.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>Ornate ceilings are everywhere.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/GettyVilla5.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>Manicured grounds.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p>You can read more <a href=https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Getty_Villa target=_blank>here<\/a>, and if visiting be sure to reserve parking in advance.
