{"id":31044,"date":"2016-11-22T17:34:04","date_gmt":"2016-11-23T00:34:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pindelski.org\/Photography\/?p=31044"},"modified":"2016-11-22T17:37:19","modified_gmt":"2016-11-23T00:37:19","slug":"flagstaff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pindelski.org\/Photography\/2016\/11\/22\/flagstaff\/","title":{"rendered":"Flagstaff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>Gateway to the Grand Canyon.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Flagstaff, some 150 miles north of Phoenix, is a former lumber town now largely dedicated to tourism, being one hour away from the Grand Canyon.<\/p>\n<p>A quick visit to the latter with my son saw us stop for lunch in Flagstaff, enjoying the historic downtown area.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Flagstaff_01a.jpg\" width=\"635\" height=\"1014\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>The Babbitt Brothers building was the center of Flagstaff retail through 1987.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Flagstaff_02.jpg\" width=\"538\" height=\"1014\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>The Coconino Courthouse Building dates from the late 19th century, remaining in use today.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Flafstaff_03.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>Sign of the past.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Flagstaff_04.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>Alleyways in Old Town are replete with this sort of thing.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Flagstaff_05.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>Murals abound &#8230;.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Flagstaff_06.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>&#8230;. as does abstraction.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Flagstaff_07.jpg\" width=\"622\" height=\"1014\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>The downtown arts scene is vibrant.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Flagstaff_08.jpg\" width=\"681\" height=\"1014\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>Preservation of old architecture is to be applauded.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gateway to the Grand Canyon.
