{"id":33541,"date":"2019-04-22T11:15:21","date_gmt":"2019-04-22T18:15:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pindelski.org\/Photography\/?p=33541"},"modified":"2019-12-31T21:45:14","modified_gmt":"2020-01-01T04:45:14","slug":"the-garden-now-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pindelski.org\/Photography\/2019\/04\/22\/the-garden-now-2\/","title":{"rendered":"The garden now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>30 months later.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Garden04212019.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"426\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>Abundant growth may dictate repositioning of some of the spotlights.<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p>An overhaul of the irrigation system, much planting and diligent fertilization have gone on during the past 30 months and the results are starting to show.<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Garden04212019_1.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>One goal is to have color most of the year around.<br \/>\nNewly planted Hibiscus are at the base of the <a href=https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/August_Ferdinand_M%C3%B6bius target=_blank>Mobius loop<\/a> sculpture.<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Garden04212019_2.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>The Krauter Palm is surrounded by Bottle Brush shrubs.<br \/>\nA symphony of Oleanders is starting to cover the south wall of the home, behind the BBQ.<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Garden04212019_3.jpg\" width=\"681\" height=\"1014\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>The east passageway was completely barren 30 months ago.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s now replete with Yellow Bells and Oleanders<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Garden04212019_4.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>Yellow Lantana fill this planter.  The drop down shades shield the patio area from the blast of southern sun.<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Garden04212019_5.jpg\" width=\"681\" height=\"1014\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>The west wall will soon be hidden by these Oleanders.<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Garden04212019_6.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>The west passageway, once barren, is now filled with Star Jasmine and red Oleanders.<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Garden04212019_7.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<i>The foreground Oleander was just 18&#8243; tall when planted and now rises 8&#8242;.<br \/>\nMy neighbor&#8217;s Bougainvillea spill gorgeously over the east wall.<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the barren, cheapskate misery I acquired 30 months ago &#8211; after 20 years this is the best previous owners could do:<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog2\/Garden04212019_original.jpg\" width=\"1014\" height=\"681\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<I>Tacky solar landscape lighting included.  Immediately recycled and replaced with wired LEDs.<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Nikon D700\/20mm AFD Nikkor for the night image.<br \/>\nPanasonic GX7\/12-35mm pro zoom for the others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>30 months later.
