{"id":5296,"date":"2010-01-04T09:00:01","date_gmt":"2010-01-04T17:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pindelski.org\/Photography\/?p=5296"},"modified":"2010-01-07T17:32:15","modified_gmt":"2010-01-08T01:32:15","slug":"another-evf-slr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pindelski.org\/Photography\/2010\/01\/04\/another-evf-slr\/","title":{"rendered":"Another EVF SLR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>From Samsung, unsurprisingly.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pindelski.org\/Blog\/SamsungNX10.jpg\" width=\"378\" height=\"314\"\/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Samsung is rolling out its <a href=http:\/\/www.amateurphotographer.co.uk\/news\/Samsung_NX10_camera_is_first_in_series_news_293383.html target=_blank>NX10 mirrorless DSLR<\/a> any day now &#8211; much the same concept as the Panasonic G1\/GH1 but with the larger APS-C sensor and using superior rear LCD screen technology.  Boy, if anyone knows about LCDs it&#8217;s Samsung as they are one of the largest manufacturers of these in all sizes.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly it&#8217;s still modeled, like the Panny twins, after the conventional DSLR silhouette, with that silly prism hump, but that will not last long, I am sure.  Overall it seems about as small as the G1.<\/p>\n<p>I can only applaud.  It&#8217;s another nail in the coffin of the flapping mirror\/pentaprism design which has seen its day in the sun.  The user gains compactness and a quieter tool with less weight.  So the tool gets used more as a result.<\/p>\n<p>Can a full size sensor variant with no prism hump be far behind?<\/p>\n<p>Now Sammy, where&#8217;s the British Racing Green version, please?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From Samsung, unsurprisingly.
