What planet is Panasonic on?

Discontinued before they even hit these shores, and desperately needed for the GX7 body given the low capacity.

I use a Wasabi aftermarket battery as a back-up but remain terrified of it given a Comment from one reader that a like battery trashed his SD card when it was near empty.
