The image was made at the full aperture of the cheap 35mm DX Nikkor on the ancient 12mp APS-C sensor in the D2x. The resolution could not be improved upon in the large print on my wall. Here’s the EXIF data:

The season begins.

Colors are gradually coming back to Filoli, helped in no small part by the outstanding color rendering of the ancient APS-C sensor in the Nikon D2x at ISO 100.

All on the Nikon D2x, 35mm AF-S DX Nikkor G. An outstanding APS-C lens at any aperture and selling new for under $200 and a decent performer on full frame, too.
